We added a bird feeder to our backyard several years ago and we just love sitting and watching all the different birds come and eat. The Summer gets so hot here that it was only natural to then, also want to add a bird bath (eating all those seeds must make them thirsty, after all), and next, of course, we wanted a bird fountain. Hey, birdies get hot too, right? But, fountains can be so pricey, not to mention the cost of electricity to run them, so we've been on the lookout for a more affordable option.
We recently came across this Ankway Solar Powered Bird Bath Fountain Pump that is eco-friendly and requires no battery or electricity to run. All that is required is sunshine! You simply submerge the water pump kit under the water and your bird bath, small pond, fish tank or whatever instantly becomes a fountain. There are different heads available for different water patterns. The free standing solar panel kit floats on the water and circulates the water that's already in the bird bath or pond. It does come with suctions, so if you have a glass base, you could suction the pump to the bottom of your bird bath. Or, you could always choose to anchor it down with rocks or pebbles, as well. The possibilities to customize your fountain are endless. Let the bird watching commence!
