The Smoking Mirror is set six months after
'Shadow of the Templars' and begins with our heroes George and Nico heading to a Professor Oubier's house to discuss a Mayan stone that Nico discovered while researching a story for her newspaper. When they get to Oubier's house, they are ambushed by two Central Americans who tie George up and kidnap Nico, setting fire to the house and leaving you, the player, to help George get out of this bind.
Critics didn't give
The Smoking Mirror too many favourable reviews when it was released, they all agreed it wasn't as good as its predecessor, but when the remastered version was released in 2010, critics rated it much higher.
This is a perfect game to re-visit for those of us who remember the original release and for those of you who have just gotten into the series, play this one immediately after the first!
