Big Ben Falls Silent For Four Years

The Historic London Bell Will Be Silent For 4 Years.

So, Big Ben is now silent for four years while repair work is effected on this historic bell. It will still ring out for important events during that time. (Should London come under attack from a plague of locusts or Evil Boris Johnson) It's under a 29 million pound restoration of the Elizabeth Tower. By 2021, the time the bell should chime again, the bell should be sounding quite different to how it's sounded before. Some Members of Parliament doubt the restoration will be complete by 2021, and are bracing themselves for a longer period, so it is possible Ben could be silent, save for New Years Eve and Remembrance Sunday.
