Let's face it, pearl earrings have never not been trending. They've been popular, probably since earrings were invented. (I'm guessing. It's not like I was there.) They're absolutely classic. Timeless. There are literally works of art based on women in pearls. (Girl with a Pearl Earring, anyone?) But, for whatever reason, they're super back right now... again. And, know what? We're okay with that.
So, the good news for our wallets is that this pearl earring trend doesn't necessarily mean real pearls. I mean, luckily for us all, there are some great faux pearls on the costume jewelry market today that are every bit as pretty as the real thing, not to mention a lot more budget-friendly. And, the more inexpensive, the more we can indulge completely guilt-free(ish). (Okay, if you're buying 50 pairs of faux pearl earrings, there may be a little bit of guilt involved, eventually.)
