So, suede bags are trending for fall. Groundbreaking? Not so much. But, does that matter? Not so much. In the past, suede was often associated with hippies, cowboys, college professors and few others in between. (Yes, I hear you. Ahem, "Blue Suede Shoes"? So, okay, maybe Elvis too.) But these days suede can come in all shapes and styles and often comes across as quite polished and sophisticated. This is the new suede.
And speaking of new suede, another great thing about many of the suede bags we're seeing this season, is that a lot of them are actually faux suede, or microsuede, which means no cows were harmed in the making. Everybody wins! Of course, there are still genuine suede leather bags out there for those who want to shell out the cash.
