With the recent, sad death of Tom Petty, we thought it would be good to showcase the excellent Anthology from 2000 called 'Through the Years' which has his greatest songs on there

Tom Petty was one of music's most important artists. He and his band of Heartbreakers really left behind a legacy of amazing music, Tom especially when he joined the super-group 'The Traveling Wilburys' in the late 80s with George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan for two albums.


Songs like 'American Girl', 'Listen to Her Heart', 'Free Fallin' and 'Learning to Fly' are radio staples, along with the massive mega anthem 'I Won't Back Down', which was recently plagiarized by the Sam Smith song 'Stay With Me'
