Sean Connery takes a stroll in NYC, September 2017 |
Sir Sean Connery. The man. The legend.
He's been retired from films since 2003 and 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen', which Sean himself did not like and his onset clashes with the director precipitated his decision to retire.

In the 1970s, his film career seemed to go into a bit of a slump, with films like 'The Man Who Would Be King' (1975) being an exception, he only ever really returned to prominence with his role in 'The Untouchables' in 1987. Throughout the 90s, his career enjoyed a resurgence with films such as 'The Hunt For Red October', 'Rising Sun', 'The Rock' and 'Entrapment'.

Sean seems to be enjoying retirement, shuttling between his homes in the Bahamas and New York, he's still very active in the politics of his homeland of Scotland. The 2014 Scottish Independence Referendum which resulted in Scotland voting to stay part of the United Kingdom, did not deter Connery's dream of Scotland being independent, saying "It will come, in time."
Recent pictures show Sean being assisted by a caregiver around the streets of New York City with many commenting that he looks extremely frail. For a start, the man is 87, who ISN'T frail at that age? But from video, he looks pretty damn good in my opinion. He could still pull off a role in a film if he chose to come out of retirement. At this point, it's looking unlikely he's going to however.
