Fingerlings Baby Sloth - Kingsley: WHERE ARE YOU?!

If you've started shopping for toys for the holidays, and you've done some research like me, you've probably heard about Wowwee Toys' Fingerlings.  There is a line of 6 monkeys: Bella, Zoe, Boris, Mia, Finn, and Sophie.  There are also 3 playsets.  There's a Toys R Us exclusive baby unicorn named Gigi (don't even get me started on her).  And, supposedly, there's a Walmart exclusive baby sloth named Kingsley.  Now, you can find Kingsley on eBay and on Amazon.  But, Kingsley hasn't been released yet.  Say, what?

UPDATE: (11/11/2017)  Kingsley has started trickling into Walmart stores across the country.  People from just about every state have reported finding him, but Wowwee has announced on their Facebook page that he has not officially been released yet.  The official release date is: Friday, November 17, 2017.

Since the beginning of this month (which, to be fair, was only a week ago, though it does seem so much longer) my sister-in-law and I have been hunting for this sloth.  WHERE IS HE?!  We don't know.  He was released in the United Kingdom eons ago.  So far, it appears he has only been released to Walmarts along the west coast in this country, however, and the stores in my area have no idea when or if they're going to be getting him in.

Wowwee swears on their Facebook Page that he hasn't come out yet and "will be climbing his way into Walmart stores later this year."  Um.  It's November.  How much later are we talking?  You can already find Kingsley on eBay selling for 4x his original cost and earlier in the week Walmart had a listing for him on their website, though he showed to be "Out of Stock."  It appears they may have jumped the gun, however, as it seems the listing has since been removed.

Several sites show Kingsley to be in stock in certain Walmart stores in California and Arizona, for example, so I am sure many of the sloths available on eBay are, in fact, real despite Wowwee's claims that he hasn't been released yet.  I do find it interesting, however, that the packaging, unlike Gigi the Unicorn's packaging, doesn't say, "Walmart Exclusive" or "Only at Walmart" as Gigi's does with Toys R Us.  It's left me wondering whether Walmart will actually end up being the only store selling Kingsley?  Who knows at this point.  One thing that does seem certain, though, is that Wowwee was clearly unprepared for the popularity of these Fingerlings.
