The Fender Mustang I Amplifier is probably the best combo starter amp you can buy for under 200 bucks. It has a variety of models of classic and modern Fender Amp including the '57 Deluxe, '59 Bassman, and the '65 Twin Reverb. Also, there's a variety of sneaky models of other popular amps such as the Vox with British 60's and the Marshall with British 80's.
The effects are my personal favourite of the amplifier. It is EXTREMELY versatile for what one might call a 'bedroom amp' and the best thing about it is you can plug this amp into your computer for clear recording of tracks with applications like Audacity, you can download a plugin for your computer to enable direct inject of the amp to your computer.
My favourite of the built in effects has to be the wah-wah effect, most especially the touch wah which makes a really fantastic sound when combined with a clean '65 Twin Reverb.
