So, this is another product that you might have seen floating around Facebook.  We think it's genius, so, again, we looked it up on our trusty Amazon, and sure enough we found it.  This is an instant home photo studio.  It's called the LimoStudio Table Top Photography Studio Kit and it's absolutely perfect for anyone who sells items online.

Travelling Britain: Devon

The county of Devon within the UK.

Devon is a county in the Southwest of England. It is home to the Devon Cream Tea (Yes, there's several), Morris Dancing (Oh yes!), Custard and Agatha Christie. In fact, Agatha Christie was born the same town as me, Torquay.

Game of Thrones Finale: Now What?

Game of Thrones, Season 7 has officially ended.  Please excuse me while I go and cry.  What?  You think I'm joking?  You clearly don't watch the show.  I mean, there has never been a more epic television show, and oh what a finale!  I already can't wait for next year.  Then again, next season will be the last, so what will I do then?  What will any of us do?!  WHAT'S TO BECOME OF US?!

Is Amazon Fire Stick Worth Cutting the Cord For?

Let's face it, cable television is going the way of the dinosaurs, and rotary telephones, and landlines and box TVs.  In the not-so-distant future, services like AT&T U-verse, DirectTV, and Spectrum (formerly Time Warner) will just be distant memories.  (And the sooner, the better, in my opinion.  That new Spectrum "Fiesta" commercial is about to drive me completely insane.)  Already, people have switched to streaming services like Netflix and Hulu.  There's also Roku sticks and Amazon Fire Sticks.

Travelling Britain: Cornwall

Cornwall within England, highlighted in red.

Cornwall is a county in the southwest of England. It is home of the cream tea, the pasty (Pah-Stee), Ross Poldark and grumpy ex-surgeons with a blood phobia named Martin. Oh yeah, and Tintagel is rumoured to be King Arthur's birthplace. There's also the long association with the golden age of Piracy with the Gilbert and Sullivan comic opera 'The Pirates of Penzance' fueling the stereotype of the traditional pirate.

Essential Supplies For Hurricane and Tornado Weather

Satellite view of Hurricane Daniel in 2006

The first and most basic supply you must have is Water. Bottled water is better as it will be clean and safe to drink should your home get flooded. Food supplies are also an essential item. Tinned/Canned food and non-perishable items are perfect as they can be eaten at any time. Your power has gone out? Solar power is your friend, there are plenty of portable solar power generators such as the Nomad 7 that will charge your electronic devices such as cell phones and laptops for a long time during a storm.

Plus Guard Your ID Mini Roller Stamp

Here's another product recommended by a family member.  This time it was my mother who shared the product with me, because she and I recently spent a couple of months sorting paper at our office, which was closing, into bins, to be taken off somewhere and shredded; a service, which is convenient when you have mountains of paperwork with sensitive information on it, but which also doesn't come cheap.

Beatles Find: Beatles Large Recycled Tote

Okay, I have a confession.  I didn't just happen across this Beatles Shopping Tote whilst tirelessly searching the web for our next Beatles find.  I actually own this bag and just decided, because I love it so much, you probably will too.

UK Television and US Television: What Are The Differences?

When I emigrated to the USA I came from a culture that ate up everything the promised land had to offer, Film and TV wise.

Big Ben Falls Silent For Four Years

The Historic London Bell Will Be Silent For 4 Years.
So, Big Ben is now silent for four years while repair work is effected on this historic bell. It will still ring out for important events during that time. (Should London come under attack from a plague of locusts or Evil Boris Johnson) It's under a 29 million pound restoration of the Elizabeth Tower. By 2021, the time the bell should chime again, the bell should be sounding quite different to how it's sounded before. Some Members of Parliament doubt the restoration will be complete by 2021, and are bracing themselves for a longer period, so it is possible Ben could be silent, save for New Years Eve and Remembrance Sunday.

The Game Of Thrones Leaks: Why Are They Spoiling It?

We can only think Lord 'Littlefinger' Baelish is behind this, somehow!

Why are people leaking Game of Thrones Season 7? It is the ultimate in spoiling it for everyone out there and also a massive headache for HBO. Yes! We can't wait either for the next episode but let's all watch it at the same time and the same page? Have some respect for those who don't want their narrative to be spoiled.

Purple Seat Cushion or Adjustable Height Desk?

Credit: Incase 2008

Like many people these days, I sit, pretty much all day long, while working at the computer and, for lack of a better way of saying it, my derriere suffers tremendously.  I would love to find that mythical, perfect, comfortable chair that I could sit in all day without any discomfort, unfortunately, as of yet, I've found no such thing.  The lack of comfort from sitting all day has led me to start searching for solutions.

Creative QT Stuffed Animal Bean Bag

Starting this site has been super fun so far, because I love finding new and cool products and sharing my finds with other people.  It's also been interesting though, because I have friends and family who like to share their cool finds as well.  So, they're giving me suggestions all the time and some I've decided to pass on to you all, and others I've decided against sharing.  This Creative QT Stuffed Animal Bean Bag was suggested by a family member and I decided to write about it here, because I think it's actually a really creative and fun idea.

Who doesn't love pizza?  No one!  That's who.  (No, you're wrong.  The answer is no one.)  So, who wouldn't want to have freshly made pizza when they're tailgating, or picnicking, or having lunch on the beach, or at the lake, or even in the backyard with friends?  Why, yes, you're correct.  Everyone would indeed want that if it was possible.  Well, I have news for you.  It is possible, because the kind people at Pizzeria Pronto have made it possible!

The Legendary Dead: John Sullivan (1946 - 2011)

John Sullivan with The Trotters' 3 wheel van.

John Sullivan stared offwas submitting scripts to the BBC which kept getting turned down so he decided to work for them as a scene shifter and in the props department, all the while watching and learning about how Comedy programs were made. He submitted a script which turned into the popular sitcom 'Citizen Smith' which ran from 1977 to 1980. It followed the exploits of young "Wolfie" Smith, a Communist Urban Guerrilla living in Tooting, South London and self proclaimed leader of the "Tooting Popular Front" Attempting to emulate his hero Che Guevara. In reality though, Wolfie was unemployed, a dreamer and a petty criminal, and the "Tooting Popular Front" was merely a small bunch of his mates. The series starred Robert Lindsay in the lead role which launched his glittering career and it also launched Sullivan's career as a full time comedy writer.

In Revue: Alan Partridge

Bouncing Back: Steve Coogan as Alan Partridge in 2002.
The character of Alan Partridge began his career on the BBC Radio 4 satirical program 'On The Hour' in 1991 as the Sports Desk reporter who had no idea about any sport. Then he got a TV series all of his own on BBC2 in 1994 'Knowing Me, Knowing You....With Alan Partridge' where he had graduated to a chat show host and which only ran for one series and included a horse crapping on the set, Alan trying to convince everyone that Roger Moore was going to be on his show, the show being taken to Paris and Alan being extremely racist towards the French, Alan doing illegal advertising on the BBC and, in the last episode, accidentally shooting and killing a guest. He returned for two series of 'I'm Alan Partridge' in 1997 and 2002 which was a look at Alan's life after his disastrous tenure at the BBC.

TRENDING: Velvet Backpacks

I remember velvet being big in the 1990s (yes, I was alive back then); it's reach extended to everything from shirts to dresses to backpacks.  Well, my friends, the time has come when all those things are back in fashion again.  Yes, it's true.  Velvet backpacks are everywhere and we've scoured the web for the best ones for back to school and beyond.

Doctor Who - The Seventh Doctor - Sylvester McCoy (1987 - 1996)

Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor.
Sylvester McCoy saw out the era of the classic Doctor Who with a Doctor that at first appeared bumbling and childlike but then became devious and enigmatic and appearing to play a bigger game than what was at stake.

Unfortunately, by the time McCoy took the role, Doctor Who was no longer the show it once was. The writing had suffered immeasurably and Michael Grade was eager for the axe to fall on this show. He never liked Doctor Who at all and, in a 2004 interview said: "I thought it was horrible, awful. I thought it was so outdated. It was just a little show for a few pointy head Doctor Who fans. It was also very violent and it had lost its magic."

As such, McCoy never really got to show off his Doctor, much like Colin Baker didn't with his. When the final serial 'Survival' aired, the final scene shows Ace, his companion and the Doctor walking off, to continue their adventures, but off screen.

The end of Doctor Who was sounded when they moved it to a time slot where it was on at the same time as popular long running ITV soap 'Coronation Street', which only made its ratings fall even further. The last scene of the original series. has a melancholic monologue, spoken by McCoy which said:

"There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, and the sea's asleep, and the rivers dream; people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice, and somewhere else the tea's getting cold. Come on, Ace. We've got work to do."

That wasn't the last time we saw the Seventh Doctor, he appeared briefly in the 1996 TV Movie, where he was shot in the cross fire of a gang war in Los Angeles and when taken to hospital, died from the anesthetic that was applied to him by the Doctors. In the hospital morgue, he regenerates into the Eighth Doctor, played by Paul McGann.

All the Seventh Doctor's adventures are available to buy on DVD by clicking this link!

The Legendary Dead: Kenneth Williams (1926 - 1988)

Carry On Messin' About: Kenneth Williams at the Height of his Carry On Fame in the 1960's.

Kenneth Williams was an extraordinary comic and entertainer. Whether he himself believed this is open to debate. Born in London in 1926. Kenneth knew from an early age he was going to be a star. His mother encouraged him but his father most certainly did not and Kenneth being homosexual was a major factor in their mutual resentment of each other.

Blast from the Past - Candies from our Childhood

By Evan-Amos (Own work) [CC0], via Wikimedia Commons

My husband and I were recently watching this BBC documentary, The Sweet Makers, where confectioners from across Britain were chosen to "go back in time" and learn how to make candy and sweets using old fashioned methods and equipment, etc. and it got me thinking about old fashioned candy here in America, and how scarce it has become over the years.

The Legendary Dead: Tony Hancock (1924 - 1968)

The Tony Hancock statue in his native Birmingham, England.

Tony Hancock came to prominence on his BBC Radio show 'Hancock's Half Hour' (1954 - 1959) and a TV show also called 'Hancock's Half Hour' (1956 - 1961) written by Ray Galton & Alan Simpson, the stars of the radio show included future 'Carry On...' stars Hattie Jacques, Kenneth Williams and Sidney James. James also featured as Hancock's co-star in the TV version. In 1962 he broke with the BBC and Galton & Simpson, who went on to make the hugely popular 'Steptoe & Son' with Harry H Corbett and Wilfred Brambell, and Hancock moved over to ATV where his career sadly slipped into the doldrums.

Total Solar Eclipse 2017 - Will You Be Watching?

By I, Luc Viatour, CC BY-SA 3.0

This year, on August 21, there will be a total eclipse of the sun visible by much of the continental United States.  A total solar eclipse happens when the moon appears to completely cover the sun in the sky.  Day suddenly becomes twilight during midday, a very strange phenomenon to behold, which occurs only every 18 months or so and is not usually visible in the same places every time.

Doctor Who - Colin Baker - The Sixth Doctor (1984 - 1986)

Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor.
Colin Baker's tenure as the Sixth Doctor came at a time when the BBC was deciding whether or not the show would continue on. Coupled with an 18 month hiatus in production of the show between seasons 22 and 23. Plus, Michael Grade, who was then Controller of BBC One, did not like Doctor Who at all and he liked Colin Baker even less. This is due to Baker's divorce from Liza Goddard, who was best friend to, yes, you guessed it, Michael Grade.

TRENDING: Platform Sneakers

Credit: Ervins Strauhmanis

To us, the '90s seem like only yesterday.  In reality, the decade that brought us the Spice Girls happened two decades ago already (ugh, we're old).  But, you know the saying: What goes around, comes around.  And it's true, because the big platform sneakers of the '90s are super hot again.  Don't worry, though, these aren't the over-the-top, cartoonish style made popular by the British pop group, but instead, are a much more sophisticated take on the trend.

Oh, For [Fox] Sake Mug

So, I'm surfing Amazon and I'm looking for the coolest products and the hottest fashion items that are trending across the web, and this mug, at the top of the screen just keeps attracting my attention.  Look, I don't know how hot this item is, or how in-demand it may be, or if any of you are even going to get it, or think it's remotely funny, or like it at all.  Nevertheless, the thing I'd most like to share with you today is this "Oh For [fox] Sake" mug, simply because my husband is British, so it's something I hear all the time, and I quite frankly can't stop laughing about it.  And there you have it, folks.

Doctor Who - Peter Davison - The Fifth Doctor (1981 - 1984)

Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor.
Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor.

Peter Davison had the unenviable job of taking over from the wildly popular Tom Baker in the role of the Doctor. This, the fifth incarnation of the Doctor was younger than his previous incarnations, with the outfit of an Edwardian cricketer with a stick of celery pinned to the jacket.
